From the 26th to the 30th of October, the 24th Biograd Boat Show took place in central Dalmatia, Croatia. Biograd Boat Show is the largest boat show joining national and international boatbuilders. Biograd Boat Show is joining a large number of exhibitors and visitors from Croatia, but also other countries within the region. The central location on the Eastern Adriatic coast allows ease of access for both visitors and exhibitors, while its timing symbolizes the end of the boating season in Croatia. Within the show, a B2B concept for exhibitors was developed. The boat show offers a digital B2B platform, where exhibitors can connect and meet beforehand, while scheduling meetings for the show. Within the scope of the B2B program, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce organized Croatia's 6th Nautical Days. Additionally, the boat show organized Croatia Charter Expo.
Croatia Charter Expo joins charter companies from the region and more, allowing fast and efficient B2B meetings between stakeholders. It is important to mentioned that Biograd Boat Show is a gold member of IFBSO, International Federation of Boat Show Organizers.
Within the scope of Misli More, we held a presentation on the 28th of October at 4 pm in the congress hall at Biograd Boat Show. The topic was „Misli More – Open presentation of Young Business Professionals in the boating industry“. We spoke about the platform's goals including networking of younger generations, raising awareness and knowledge on new trends in the boating industry and boosting excellence in young people through development. Additionally, we discussed the importance of education and why practical work and connectivity with your industry are important for healthy work habits. We presented our educational materials, used as guides for work options within the marine industry. The second topic was the importance of circularity and why it is the only sustainable option for continuous business. Lastbut not least, we presented Croatia's first club of young people in the boating industry, with our three segments: Young Business Professionals, Women in Marine te Sustainability Hub.
The advantages for our members include networking events, access to information, digital workspace, work groups, education and much more. We highlighted how community is a source of comfort, motivation and collaboration. This spirit was present on our first ever Meet up of our Young Business Professionals. Hereby we want to thank the boat show organizers for their support and our old and new members for supporting our initiative.
