Last week we were present at the B2B trade show MESTRADE in Amsterdam. This show joins suppliers for the entire boating industry, from the segments of leisure boatbuilding to super yachts. One can find conventional boating products, but digital platforms and alternative propulsion systems too. Find out what we learned in the post below and discover our experience at MESTRADE 2022.
DAME DESIGN AWARD 2022 NOMINEE
In the category Machinery, propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings the company Integrel Solutions developed an e-drive modul which enables electric propulsion. Their generator system generates up to 200 kW by 350 V and the company states their system saves 40% space in comparison to standard ICE. Additionally, fuel savings amount to 14%.
Within the category Deck equipment, sails and rigging the nominated company is Karver Systems, whose online platform enables sharing and download of designs for 3D printing of vessel spare parts. This innovation is completely digital and allows for information sharing, presenting a truly sustainable project within the boating industry.
WOMEN IN MARINE INTERNATIONAL
On Wednesday, the 16th of November we took part in the conference Women in Marine International and panelu where managers from renowned companies such as Beneteau Grupe, Volvo Penta, Propseed & more shared their experience and inspiration for empowerment.
In Croatia's first club of young people in the boating industry we also join our Women in Marine group, so we invite all young women in the region to join us!
METS 2022
We met up with colleagues from the company Aquator marine, whose digital interface revolutionizes vessel monitoring. The last day we took part in the launch of Water Revolution Foundation’s YETI 1.0. Their index measures operational efficiency and through EcoPoints, measures the sustainability of super yachts. The index is developed by shipyard, naval architects, engineers and academic institutions. The owners of super yachts or shipyards can submit their data to measure sustainability.
